DRAGONBREAKER (ALPHA- V6)

DRAGONBREAKER is its own roleplaying game system with rules and concepts similar to D&D 5E, but it breaks away from the traditionally rigid class progression by giving the player more flexibility and options in creating their truly original character.  It can be used as an alternative simpler way to play any D&D 5E modules as well as some retro-clone modules. 

I love TTRPGs and like many of us I started with D&D 5E and fell in love with the system but as time went on I started noticing rules and game concepts that I just didn’t agree with. After playing exactly by the game’s rules, I started, like so many of us, with homebrewing rules and trying to bend the game to what I thought it should be or what would be easier, until it got to be so many homebrew rules that I just decided to make my own game but I still loved the worlds and modules that D&D and other retro clones had to offer and so DRAGONBREAKER was born.

It includes rules to streamline player’s character choices, combat, death, exhaustion, ability tests, spellcasting, resting and vastly speeding up combat, increase interesting & meaningful choices for players & GMs, and minimize time spent waiting. 

The two main elements of this game are Hero Dice and Talents. Players can spend Hero Dice to perform certain physical abilities in combat or when casting spells, possibly granting them an edge in battle.

This product comes with the alpha core rulebook as well as a character sheet and can be played in a group of players or solo play.

Here is another alpha playtest update and changes. I really tried to listen to all playtest feedback and hopefully it shows. As always, all the newest playtest updates are marked in RED.
